ЛУКАС, Г. Дипломатические отношения между Англией и Фландрией в период времени от 1329 до 1336 года.

Автор поставил себе задачей обрисовать дипломатические сношения между Эдуардом III английским и фландрским графом Людовиком де Креси, имевшие место в период 1323 - 1336 гг. и направленные к установлению мирных отношений между Англией и Фландрией. Обычно этот эпизод игнорируется историками Столетней войны. Автор характеризует экономическое значение Фландрии с точки зрения английских интересов и описывает ряд конфликтов, возникших между Англией и Фландрией на почве торговых связей и пиратства. Одновременно он оттеняет и политическое значение Фландрии для Англии. Подробно обрисовывается самый ход переговоров. В статье использована богатая литература. К ней приложен документ, извлеченный из лондонского Public Record Office и впервые появляющийся в печати. Он характеризует дипломатическую практику XIV века.
